The Unlimited School found themselves in a temporary accommodation situation at Halswell Residential College as a result of earthquake damage to their facilities.
A new premises was negotiated onsite at the University of Canterbury which quickly required construction of facilities.
Galletly Builders acted as main contractor for three stages of work: refurbishment to existing buildings onsite, management of relocation and refurbishment of additional second hand classrooms relocated to site, and construction of thirteen new Opus-designed classrooms.
The new classrooms were constructed in an offsite location, then transported and established onsite so as to minimise construction disruption for neighbours.
The accuracy of our workmanship was tested, delivering 13 individual classrooms to be joined together onsite and fitted out.
